DAY 1:  APRIL 4, 2018

Today’s picturesque travel will take you to the Tilton, New Hampshire where you will be accommodated at the Hampton Inn and Suites.  Nestled in a valley in the New Hampshire Lakes Region, Hampton Inn & Suites Tilton is conveniently located across the street from the Tax Free Tanger Outlets and just minutes from the antique shops and restaurants lining Tilton’s Main Street.

DAY 2:  APRIL 5, 2018

Quilters are you ready?  Among todays stops you will visit the New England Quilt Museum.  This museum uses quilts and the stories of quilt making to educate and inspire.  View rich legacies of artistic expression and historical documentation from the earliest days to the present.  Stop at the Boott Cotton Mills Museum, an extensive group of cotton mills, built in 1835 alongside a power canal system in.  Next you will stop at Bits and Pieces Quilt Shop.  This is a brick and mortar type store with well over 7500 bolts of high quality cotton fabric for you to choose from.  An abundance of books, notions and patterns are also available to choose from.  Continue to Canterbury Shaker Village where visitors experience entertaining, educations and engaging experiences in one of the most picturesque settings in northern New England.  (B, D)

DAY 3:  APRIL 6, 2018

This morning you will start the day visiting Keepsake Quilting Retail Shop.  This shop is beautifully situated in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire where many quilt guilds from across the country and around the world visit and shop regularly.  Travel to Vermont, the Green Mountain State, where you will enjoy a photo stop at Quechee Gorge, Vermont’s “Little Grand Canyon” as you make your way to the White Mountains.  Find out how two childhood friends turned a $5.00 correspondence course into a very successful ice cream business.  Tour Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory, learn the manufacturing process and taste the delicious samples.  Enjoy time at your leisure in Stowe before visiting the Trapp Family Lodge.  A Mountain Resort in European tradition by the family that inspired The Sound of Music.  You will be amazed by the rolling Green Mountains, beautiful bucolic views, and the Austrian architecture.  Stroll the grounds and visit the exquisite gift shop.  Accommodations this evening will be at the Best Western & Suites Rutland/Killington.  (B, D)

DAY 4:  APRIL 7, 2018

Check out of the hotel this morning for a brief visit to the Shelburne Museum.  Shelburne Museum was the first museum to exhibit quilts as works of art.  The Museum’s historic textile collections have grown to include woven coverlets, needlework, hooked rugs, and printed fabrics from the eighteenth century to the present.  You will depart the Peaks of New England with fond memories of the area that will leave you wanting to visit again.  (B)
