DAY 1: SEPTEMBER 17, 2018
New Orleans has a variety of attractions to keep you entertained. Explore the history through world-renowned museums, get an up-close and personal look, into the history of Mardi Gras, learn about the birthplace of jazz, or take a relaxing ride down the Mighty Mississippi. Upon arrival, you will check into the Staybridge Suites Downtown where you will be accommodated for the next four nights. This hotel borders the French Quarter and is in the heart of the New Orlean’s entertainment district.
DAY 2: SEPTEMBER 18, 2018
A city full of rich history and storied culture, New Orleans holds something for every traveler. This morning a local tour guide will conduct a 3-hour city tour. The afternoon will be free to shop and explore the French Quarter. Enjoy an authentic New Orleans dinner and music at Mulate’s Restaurant in the French Quarter. (B, D)
DAY 3: SEPTEMBER 19, 2018
You will be met again today by a local guide before going to the Laura Plantation. Enjoy a tour of this famous 200 year old historic sugar plantation. It is a little different than most of the Louisiana antebellum plantations, in that it is built in the French “Creole” style, rather than the English or American antebellum homes common throughout the area. The afternoon and evening will be free to enjoy at your leisure. (B)
DAY 4: SEPTEMBER 20, 2018
A local guide will take you out from town for an adventure on a swamp and bayou cruise this morning. You will be surrounded with the beauty of nature and the areas local creatures. Tonight you will enjoy the dinner jazz cruise aboard the Steamboat Natchez. You will enjoy the beautiful sights, delicious food and great music, as well as the steam powered calliope or simply the sounds of the river. (B, D)
DAY 5: SEPTEMBER 21, 2018
Enjoy a live jazz brunch buffet at the famous Court of Two Sisters before heading to the airport for your return home. This restaurant offers a mouth-watering jazz brunch daily that features a jazz trip and authentic Louisiana-Creole fare. (Brunch)
