Today you will meet your local tour guide for a historic tour of Boston.  Learn about the different districts of the city including Back Bay, Beacon Hill and the gold domed state house, Boston Common – America’s first public park and the Public Garden.  Don’t miss the Massachusetts State House, once headquarters for English governors and later the site where the Declaration of Independence was read to the waiting citizens of Boston.  Next will be Old North Church, the site where Robert Newman climbed the steeple to hang the two lanterns and warn that the British were marching upon Lexington and concord!  You will also visit the USS Constitution, located in the Charleston navy Yard.  Lunch and time to shop will be at your leisure at historic Quincy Market.  The remainder of the day will be free to enjoy at your leisure.  If there is enough interest an optional side excursion will be offered to the New England Aquarium however admission would be additional.  The centrepiece of this aquarium is the Giant Ocean Tank, a large 4-storey high circular tank which holds a replica of a Caribbean coral reef.  View sea turtles, bonnet-head sharks, stingrays, tarpons, tropical fish, barracuda, eels, and other reef creatures!  (B)
